St Andrew's has ten elders who assist the minister in pastoral care, and the planning and conduct of worship, particularly in the sacraments of communion and baptism. Each elder has a group of St Andrew's people to support and keep in touch with. In addition to the elders, there is a separate six-member pastoral care team whose members are available to assist the minister and elders, particularly with hospital and home visits. Some of the elders organise a prayer-chain roster which is available to members of the church and families in the community.
