The Parents and Friends group was formed in the early 1950's. The main purpose then was to purchase all the supplies for the teaching of children. In those days there were six Sunday School classes, a Junior Fellowship and a Senior Fellowship. As fewer funds are required for the young people now, P&F funds are spent largely for church upkeep or improvement. Over the years we have paid for or helped pay for our organ, carpeting for the church and for paving outside. We have also supplied artificial flowers for use in the church, the ingredients for Communion each month, the ingredients for morning teas each Sunday, and products for all aspects of church and hall cleaning. This year we paid for the painting of the kitchen and also for new flooring. Although we are only eight in number at the moment, we are a very friendly group and would welcome new members. To raise money over the years we have helped cater for weddings and funerals, and have held Fashion Parades and progressive dinners. We meet on the first Monday of the month at 9:30am.
